Environment

We design our engines to respect nature, so you can enjoy your boating and always hold on to natures glow.

This means quieter engines, with minimal vibrations, cleaner than ever. All our engines, designed after 1996, meet most of the present and future emission regulations, like BSO II, SAV, EPA III < 75 kW, EPA II > 75 kW, IMO and RCD.

Our Biwa Factory in Japan is a 'tour de force' of technical achievement, but was also planned from the outset with ecology in mind. At Biwa we have achieved a significant long-term goal: to build a global-use, environmentally friendly range of engines in a plant that mirrors that philosophy. A substantial part of our yearly income is spent on research and development to be a good and responsible participant in our global society.
